
The Maternal and Child Health Service (MCH) is a universal primary care service for Victorian families with children from birth to school age.
The service is provided in partnership with the Municipal Association of Victoria, DEECD and Cardinia Shire and aims to promote healthy outcomes for all children and their families.
The service provides a comprehensive & focused approach for the promotion, prevention, early detection, & intervention of the physical, emotional or social factors affecting young children and their families through 10 funded key age and stage assessments.
The MCH service is provided at Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre on
the 2nd, 4th & 5th Thursday of the month 9am - 3pm

The Upper Beaconsfield Centre's Maternal Child Health Nurse (aka the Baby Whisper) is our very own Wendy Jennings, a registered nurse, midwife and lactation consultant.
Wendy has worked as a MCH nurse for the past 10 years and has lived in the local area for the past 23 years.
She has 4 beautiful grown children of her own including twins, so she's seen it and lived it! Her vast experience gives new parents confidence with the amazing journey of parenthood that's before them.
