Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre Inc. is a community driven organisation that evolved after the 1983 Ash Wednesday Bushfires as a means of community support. The CWA established a drop-in Centre for anyone wishing to have a chat and a cuppa. This focused the increasing sense of “community” that arose after the fires. The Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre services not only the community of Upper Beaconsfield but also its surrounds including Beaconsfield, Berwick, Officer, Pakenham, Narre Warren, and Emerald, all within 15 minutes… The Centre offers a range of community services including an Early Learning Centre, Accredited Training Courses, Computer Courses, Job Ready Courses, Special Interest classes, Health and Wellbeing, Kids Courses and Activities, Exercise Classes, Special Needs Courses, a Toy Library, Maternal Child Health Nurse, Men’s Shed, Community Garden, Community activities and events including the Village Festival.
