Poppy Making for Remembrance Day Display 2018
November 11th 2018 commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18).
Our wonderful community members made thousands of poppies for a display at the Upper Beaconsfield Cenotaph in 2018. We made 17 wreaths, one each in memory of the brave men from the Upper Beaconsfield area who lost their lives, as well as a mass display of poppies.
A huge thanks to all the members of the community far and wide who knitted and crocheted the poppies, and to Victoria W. and her team for the incredible work they did to put them together for a special ANZAC Day service and for the wonderful display they planned for this very special Remembrance Day.
