Certificate III in Children’s Services (CHC 30708)
This course gives students nationally recognised qualifications to work in child care centres, vacation care centres, occasional care centres, family day care centres and home-based care services. You will learn to work in a team environment, supporting the needs of, and giving care to, babies and children up to 12 years of age.
You will learn about appropriate interaction with children and how to fulfill their physical, emotional and self-care needs. You will also learn about organisational policies, procedures, how to plan activities and provide care for children, how to facilitate their leisure and play, and how to enable them to achieve their developmental outcomes.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. Students will need to obtain a police check, and also working with Children check before undertaking placement. This can be arranged through the Centre. If you feel your literacy and numeracy skills are not at a suitable level to undertake this course, please contact our office.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Current Competencies (RCC)
Participants can seek RPL/RCC for competencies already achieved. Full details are available at the Centre.
Course Duration
Generally 1 day per week, or 1 evening per week, during school terms only (for 4 terms), please contact the centre to confirm the next class intake. Additional to class time there will be a practical placement component of 180 hours.

Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC 30208)
This course is a Nationally Recognised Training Package for personal care workers working in a range of industry workplaces or on a one-to-one basis with individual clients. Personal care workers are a unique classification of workers who work mainly in nursing homes, hostels, supported accommodation and other residential settings.
Our experienced trainer will adapt to learners needs and requirements.
Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements; however, it is compulsory that Apply First Aid be completed before successful completion the course. Students will need to obtain a police check before starting placement. If you feel your numeracy & literacy skills are not at a suitable level to undertake this course, please speak to the Coordinator.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
This course is a Nationally Recognised Training Package which teaches you to design, plan, organise, deliver, evaluate and review training sessions and programs. This nationally recognised qualification is mandatory for those people wishing to teach and/or assess nationally recognised training packages.
The course takes a practical approach to delivering the program and recognises that individual trainees have a wide range of applications for the certification, although they may not have been involved in training delivery.
At the successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a nationally recognised certificate detailing the units competently completed.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. If you feel your numeracy & literacy skills are not at a suitable level to undertake this course, please speak to the co-ordinators. You may be required to attend a short interview and complete a questionnaire to ascertain your experience, expectations and level of computer skills.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Participants can seek RPL for competencies they already have achieved. Speak to the coordinator to obtain a copy of the Centre’s brochure for full details.
