Full details of the Centre’s Code of Practice and Policies & Procedures are available for viewing by members upon request to the co-ordinators.
Please note the centre has full policies regarding the following:
Access & Equity
The Centre will not discriminate against any person regardless of race, culture, sex, disability, religion or age.
Complaints Policy
The Centre has a comprehensive Complaints Policy for users of the Centre. All disputes are treated in the strictest confidence.
Legislation
The Centre will comply to the best of its ability where appropriate with Federal and State legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to its operations.
Funding Statement
Funding of the centre is from Users, Council of Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE), Department of Planning and Community Development, Shire of Cardinia and Centre/community fundraising.
The Government Funding is used for some of the programs and services offered by the Centre and require the provision of statistical data to the Government for these funds.
All data is managed in accordance with the requirements of the Information Privacy Act 2000.
Policies & Procedures
The Centre has a comprehensive Policy & Procedure manual. The following are an excerpt of relevant member policies. For a full copy of the policy members should contact the Centre.
Student Services Fee
A student services fee will apply to all accredited and computer courses. This fee will incorporate costs associated with nationally recognised qualifications, as well as student notes, facilities and amenities costs.
Concessions
Concessions are available to pensioners, unemployed, healthcare card holders and Seniors card holders. Please do not feel excluded because of financial difficulties, speak to the coordinator.
Refund Policy
A full refund is made if course has to be cancelled by the UBCC. Other refunds (less a $10 administration fee) will only be considered if: at least 5 working days notice is given before commencement of the course, and the remaining class size is large enough for the course to be viable.
Grievance Policy
The Centre has a comprehensive Grievance Policy for users of the Centre. A copy can be obtained from the co-ordinators.

Privacy Policy
Information collected about you is used for planning, programming, research, funding, and monitoring purposes. The staff who handle your information are required by law to respect your privacy. The Government Funding is used for some of the programs and services offered by the Centre and requires the provision of statistical data to the Government for these funds.
All information received is kept secure and treated as confidential. An Information Collection Statement can be viewed at the Centre. All data is managed in accordance with the requirements of the Information Privacy Act 2000 and the Health Information Act 2001.
